I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I assure you, I’m still very much alive, as is this website. I have been periodically adding to the galleries.
I’m working 44 hours a week so I don’t have as much time. But even so, there have been plenty of things happening!
I upgraded my Desktop PC! I replaced everything but the Motherboard, CPU, and RAM! and yes, that means I even replaced the case!
New parts I installed:
- Fractal Design North XL Case
- Corsair HX1500i 1500w Power Supply
- SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD NVMe M.2 2TB SSD
- ASUS TUF Gaming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 OC Edition
- Cooler Master ARGB GPU Support Bracket
- Arctic Cooling P14 Fluid Dynamic Bearing 140mm Rear Fan
- 3 x Fractal Design Aspect 140mm PWM front fans
- NZXT Kraken 360 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler
- NZXT Internal USB Hub
- USB 3.x Internal PCIe Card (For the extra USB Headers)
- ASUS PCIe WiFi Adapter (WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2)

What else has been up?
Well, I also got an awesome new gaming laptop! Mostly because I wanted a portable machine that had the versatility to do practically anything I need it to. I don’t do a ton of gaming and most of my favorite games are at least 10 years old or more. But non-gaming laptops are typically abysmal at multitasking, or handling any graphics based tasks. Even running a web browser with 4-6 tabs gets to be a bit much for a laptop with just an integrated GPU, even with 16GB of RAM. So I wanted a laptop with the performance capabilities of a desktop. So what did I get?

ASUS TUF Gaming A16 Advantage Edition
- AMD Ryzen 7 7940HS CPU
- Radeon RX 7700S GPU
- 32GB 4800MHz DDR5 RAM
- WD Green 1TB SSD
- WD Black 2TB SSD
Features:
This is the feature list taken from the ASUS website page for the ASUS TUF A16 Advantage Edition laptop.
MUX Switch
SmartAccess Graphics
AMD SmartAccess Graphics technology makes the most of every frame by automating switching between integrated and discrete graphics or gives you full manual control with a dedicated MUX switch.
SmartShift
SmartShift is a dynamic boosting algorithm trained by machine learning that allows the CPU and GPU to automatically allocate power on the fly.
Smart Access Memory™
Smart Access Memory™ gives the CPU access to the entirety of the GPU’s VRAM rather than small chunks, reducing latency and improving performance.
SmartShift RSR
The SmartShift RSR allows the dedicated GPU to render a frame at a lower resolution, then upscale the frame with the integrated graphics for improved frame rates.
What else have I been up to?
Well when I’m not working, I spend the little free time I have left playing the Tomb Raider I-VI Remastered games, Star Wars Galaxies, Skyrim AE, and/or GTA 5 Enhanced, or making more art to add to my galleries for your enjoyment!
And, y’know…just generally being a parent. 😁
